The Oxford AI School runs AI training for businesses across Coventry, Warwick and Leamington Spa, a little over an hour from our Oxfordshire base. Sessions are hands-on from the first ten minutes, taught in plain English, and built around the tools your team already has: ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini and Perplexity.

Coventry and Warwickshire have spent two decades rebuilding around engineering, mobility research and games development, and that has left an unusual mix: highly technical businesses next door to traditional manufacturers and family firms. Both come to us for the same reason. The work that clogs up their week is written, repetitive and exactly what AI handles well.

We train automotive and advanced manufacturing suppliers around Ansty and Whitley, games and digital studios in Leamington Spa, professional and property firms in Warwick and Kenilworth, and owner-managed businesses across Nuneaton, Rugby and Bedworth. Most attendees save 10 or more hours per person every week once AI becomes part of how they work.

What your team learns

Real skills, used the same day.

Every Coventry session is hands-on and tailored to your work. This is the kind of thing your team walks out able to do.

Write and quote quicker

  • Quotes, specifications and customer emails drafted in minutes
  • Long tenders and contracts cut down to the terms that matter
  • Site and meeting notes turned into a clean, shareable record

Tame the admin

  • Ask a spreadsheet questions instead of writing formulas
  • Automate the report or return that eats a day every month
  • Turn your best person’s method into prompts everyone can run

Choose the right tool

  • Where ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini and Perplexity each help
  • What must never go into a public tool under UK GDPR
  • Fast verification so mistakes never reach a customer
The tools

ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini and Perplexity.

We teach the tools you already have and are candid about where each one is strongest, including where the free tier is enough.

ChatGPT

The general-purpose starting point. Projects, custom instructions, file analysis and the habits that keep it honest.

Claude

The best option for long documents, tenders and careful drafting.

Microsoft Copilot

The easiest approved route in a Microsoft 365 business. Copilot in Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.

Gemini

For Google Workspace teams, plus image and video generation for marketing.

Perplexity

Research with citations, for supplier comparisons, market checks and tender background.

The two skills that matter

Prompt engineering and context management.

These are the skills that separate teams getting real value from AI from teams who tried it once and gave up.

Prompt engineering

Prompt engineering means giving the tool four things: a role, a task, the context it cannot guess, and the format you want back. That is the whole trick. We teach it in the first half hour, then spend the rest of the session using it on the quotes, reports and emails your team actually has to produce.

By the end of the day your Coventry team has a small library of prompts that genuinely work, written down and shared, so the quality of the output stops depending on who happens to be doing the task.

Context management

Context management is the skill that keeps AI useful past week one. What you load into a conversation, what you keep out, when to start again, and how you keep the specifications, terms and templates a tool works from up to date. For engineering and manufacturing businesses, working from a superseded revision is exactly the error you cannot afford.

AI policy & governance

AI policy for Coventry businesses.

Your staff are already using AI. The only question is whether they are doing it inside rules you have written down.

Manufacturing and engineering firms hold customer drawings, specifications and commercial terms. Once staff start pasting those into consumer AI tools, you have an intellectual property problem rather than a training problem.

The AI Policy Workshop is a full day for up to ten people, in Coventry or online. It produces your own written AI acceptable use policy: approved tools, permitted uses, the UK GDPR data red line, rules by department and named gatekeepers for anything new.

We also cover the governance side that boards and clients increasingly ask about: risk management, record-keeping, and how you would demonstrate that an AI-assisted decision was checked by a person. Our guides to AI governance, trustworthy AI and the NIST AI RMF and compliance, auditing and explainability set out the approach in full.

You leave with

  • A written AI acceptable use policy in your own words
  • An approved tool list, and a list of what is not approved
  • Your UK GDPR data red line, stated plainly
  • Rules by department, not one vague page for everyone
  • Named gatekeepers and a review date

Questions, answered

AI training in Coventry: FAQs.

Do you deliver AI training in person in Coventry?
Yes. We are based in Oxfordshire, a little over an hour from Coventry, and train at your premises across Coventry, Ansty Park, Leamington Spa, Warwick, Kenilworth, Rugby, Nuneaton and Stratford-upon-Avon. Live online sessions are available UK-wide.
How much does AI training in Coventry cost?
In-person team workshops for up to 8 people start at £899 +VAT. The half-day AI Basics Deep Dive is £1,599 +VAT in person or £1,499 +VAT online. The full-day AI Policy Workshop for up to 10 people is £2,599 +VAT in person, £2,499 +VAT online.
Can you cover AI rules for engineering drawings and IP?
Yes, and for manufacturing clients it is usually the first thing we address. The AI Policy Workshop sets out which tools are approved, what may be pasted in, what must stay inside your own systems, and who signs off new tools. You leave with the written policy.
Do you train shop floor and office staff together?
We usually split them, because the useful examples differ. Office and commercial teams work on documents, quotes and reporting. Production and quality teams work on procedures, handovers and reading their own data. Both get a session pitched at what they actually do.
Is the training suitable for complete beginners?
Yes. Basic AI training in plain English with no jargon and no assumed knowledge is the majority of our work, and everyone leaves having built something useful on their own tasks.
