See programmes & pricing

The Oxford AI School runs AI training for businesses across Leeds and West Yorkshire, in person at your premises or live online. Sessions are hands-on from the first ten minutes, taught in plain English, and built around the tools your team already has: ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini and Perplexity.

Leeds carries the largest legal and financial services base outside London, and both are professions built on documents, deadlines and precision. That is fertile ground for AI, and also the ground where getting it wrong matters most. Which is why we spend as much time on verification and rules as we do on speed.

We train law firms and finance teams in the city centre and Wellington Place, digital and health-tech businesses around Holbeck and the South Bank, retail and consumer teams across West Yorkshire, and professional practices from Harrogate to Wakefield and Bradford. Most attendees save 10 or more hours per person every week once AI becomes part of how they work.

What your team learns

Real skills, used the same day.

Every Leeds session is hands-on and tailored to your work. This is the kind of thing your team walks out able to do.

Handle documents at speed

  • Read, compare and summarise long documents in minutes
  • Draft client letters, reports and advice in your own house style
  • Turn meeting recordings into a clean file note

Lighten the admin load

  • Ask a spreadsheet questions instead of building formulas
  • Automate recurring reporting and internal updates
  • Capture your best practice as prompts the team can reuse

Work accurately and safely

  • Which of ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini and Perplexity to use, and when
  • What may never go into a public tool under UK GDPR
  • Verification habits that satisfy a regulator, not just a manager
The tools

ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini and Perplexity.

We cover the tools your business already has, and we are honest about where each one is genuinely better than the others.

ChatGPT

The general-purpose option. Projects, custom instructions, file analysis, and the discipline that keeps it accurate.

Claude

Our first choice for long documents, contracts and drafting where precision counts.

Microsoft Copilot

The compliance-friendly route for Microsoft 365 firms. Copilot in Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.

Gemini

For Google Workspace teams, plus image and video generation for marketing.

Perplexity

Research with citations, so every answer can be traced to a source.

The two skills that matter

Prompt engineering and context management.

These are the skills that separate teams getting real value from AI from teams who tried it once and gave up.

Prompt engineering

Prompt engineering is a plain, learnable structure: role, task, context, format. We teach it, then apply it to the documents and correspondence your team actually produces. In professional services the effect is immediate, because the work is already structured and AI responds well to structure.

By the end of the day your Leeds team has a small library of prompts that genuinely work, written down and shared, so the quality of the output stops depending on who happens to be doing the task.

Context management

Context management is the quieter skill and the one that protects you. What you put into a conversation, what you keep out, when to start fresh, and how you make sure the precedent, template or policy a tool is working from is the current version. Get that wrong in a regulated firm and speed becomes a liability.

AI policy & governance

AI policy for Leeds businesses.

Your staff are already using AI. The only question is whether they are doing it inside rules you have written down.

Legal and financial firms cannot run on informal technology rules. If a member of staff cannot tell you which AI tools are approved and what may go into them, that is a gap a regulator would find in ten minutes.

The AI Policy Workshop is a full day for up to ten people, in Leeds or online. You leave with your own written AI acceptable use policy: approved tools, permitted uses, the UK GDPR data red line, rules by department, record-keeping and named gatekeepers.

We also cover the governance side that boards and clients increasingly ask about: risk management, record-keeping, and how you would demonstrate that an AI-assisted decision was checked by a person. Our guides to AI governance, trustworthy AI and the NIST AI RMF and compliance, auditing and explainability set out the approach in full.

You leave with

  • A written AI acceptable use policy in your own words
  • An approved tool list, and a list of what is not approved
  • Your UK GDPR data red line, stated plainly
  • Rules by department, not one vague page for everyone
  • Named gatekeepers and a review date
