The Oxford AI School delivers practical AI training for businesses across Berkshire and the Thames Valley, in person at your office or live online. Sessions are hands-on from the first ten minutes and built around the tools your team already has: ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini and Perplexity.

Berkshire sits at the heart of the Thames Valley technology corridor, which creates an odd assumption: that everybody here already knows this stuff. In practice the finance team, the operations manager and the sales floor are in the same position as everywhere else, paying for tools nobody has been shown how to use. From Reading and Bracknell to Maidenhead, Windsor and Newbury, we come in and turn haphazard AI use into a reliable everyday habit.

We are tool-agnostic and jargon-free. No coding, no acronyms nobody explains, no assumed knowledge. Every session also covers how to use AI safely: the data that must never go into a public tool, the checks that keep output trustworthy, and simple AI guidelines that keep your Berkshire team on the right side of UK GDPR. Most attendees save 10 or more hours per person every week once AI becomes part of how they work.

What your team learns

Real AI skills your Berkshire team uses the same day.

Every session is hands-on and tailored to your work. This is the kind of thing your team walks out able to do.

Get through the writing

  • Client emails, proposals and statements of work in minutes
  • Long threads and recordings turned into decisions and owners
  • One draft reshaped for a technical buyer and a finance buyer

Handle data and admin

  • Ask questions of a spreadsheet instead of fighting pivot tables
  • Pull the numbers and risks out of a supplier or renewal document
  • Standardise repeat work as prompts the whole team can reuse

Choose and trust the tool

  • Where ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini and Perplexity each fit
  • What is safe to paste in and what is not, under UK GDPR
  • How to check output fast, so nothing wrong goes out
Why in-person wins

Why in-person AI training in Berkshire beats a webinar.

Anyone can watch a recorded course, and most of your team never will. Put a trainer in the room and something changes: questions get asked, real tasks get finished, and everybody leaves on the same page.

We come to you

We are based in Witney, Oxfordshire, around forty-five minutes from most of Berkshire by road, so in-person training is easy to arrange. You provide a meeting room and we bring everything else.

Your work, not a demo

We train on the actual emails, quotes, reports and admin your Berkshire team deals with, so the skills transfer the moment we leave.

The whole team, together

Everyone hears the same guidance and agrees the same AI ground rules in one room. No stragglers, no quiet confusion, nobody improvising in the dark.

The tools

ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini and Perplexity training in Berkshire.

Most Berkshire businesses have the licences already. The gap is knowing which tool suits which job, so that is where we start.

ChatGPT

The general-purpose workhorse. Projects, custom instructions, file analysis, and the habits that keep it honest.

Claude

The one we reach for on long documents, careful drafting and anything with a contract or a policy in it.

Microsoft Copilot

The path of least resistance for Microsoft 365 businesses. Copilot in Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams, with the security your IT team wants.

Gemini

For Google Workspace teams, plus image and video generation for marketing and internal comms.

Perplexity

Research with citations. Ideal for market scans, competitor checks and anything you will have to defend in a meeting.

The two skills that matter

Prompt engineering and context management.

These are the skills that separate teams getting real value from AI from teams who tried it once and gave up.

Prompt engineering

Prompt engineering is a simple skill dressed up in a technical name. Give the tool a role, a task, the context it cannot guess, and the format you want back, and the quality jumps immediately. We teach that four-part structure, then practise it on the emails, reports and spreadsheets your team brought with them.

By the end of the day your Berkshire team has a small library of prompts that genuinely work, written down and shared, so the quality of the output stops depending on who happens to be doing the task.

Context management

Context management is where the real time is won or lost. It is deciding what to load into a conversation, what to keep out, when to start a fresh one, and how to keep the documents a tool works from up to date.

Teams juggling several clients, sites or product lines feel this immediately: once context is managed properly, you stop re-explaining your business every single morning.

AI policy & governance

AI policy for Berkshire businesses.

Your staff are already using AI. The only question is whether they are doing it inside rules you have written down.

Somebody in your business pasted a client email into a chatbot last week. Nobody signed anything and nobody agreed it was allowed. If you handle customer data, and almost every business does, then unwritten AI rules are a risk sitting on your register with nobody’s name against it.

The AI Policy Workshop is a full day for up to ten people at your Berkshire office or online. You leave with your own written AI acceptable use policy, your approved tools agreed, your data red line drawn and gatekeepers named, plus the training that makes staff able to follow it.

We also cover the governance side that boards and clients increasingly ask about: risk management, record-keeping, and how you would demonstrate that an AI-assisted decision was checked by a person. Our guides to AI governance, trustworthy AI and the NIST AI RMF and compliance, auditing and explainability set out the approach in full.

You leave with

  • A written AI acceptable use policy in your own words
  • An approved tool list, and a list of what is not approved
  • Your UK GDPR data red line, stated plainly
  • Rules by department, not one vague page for everyone
  • Named gatekeepers and a review date

Our full-day AI Policy Workshop goes further and sends your Berkshire business home with its own written AI acceptable use policy, approved tool list and clear AI guidelines for staff to follow.
How quickly will my Berkshire team see results?
Most attendees build their first genuinely useful AI workflow inside 90 minutes, and trained teams typically report saving 10 or more hours per person per week. Because we come to you and teach on the tasks your team already does, the habits stick after we leave rather than fading with the enthusiasm.
