As a rough guide: individual introductory sessions start around £199, group workshops run from roughly £799, and half-day team deep dives are typically £1,499 to £1,599 for up to eight people. Specialist and sector sessions sit in a similar range. Prices vary by provider, group size and depth.
The more useful question is not the sticker price but the payback, which for most teams arrives within days of applying what they learn.
Nobody likes a "prices on application" runaround, so let us be straight about what AI training actually costs. The honest answer is that it ranges, depending on whether you want one person given a solid grounding or a whole team taken through their real workflows. Here is the shape of it, using our own programmes as a real-world guide.
The rough going rate
| Format | Who it's for | Guide price |
|---|---|---|
| Intro to AI - individual | One person, 90 minutes | from ~£199 |
| Intro to AI - group | Up to 8 people, 90 minutes | ~£799 to £899 |
| AI Basics Deep Dive | A team, half day | ~£1,499 to £1,599 |
| Sector session (law, accounts, IFAs, etc.) | A team in one profession, half day | ~£1,499 to £1,599 |
| Tool deep dive (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot...) | A team, half day | ~£1,499 to £1,599 |
| Claude Code pathway | Technical teams, half day each | ~£1,999 per module |
Those are guide figures and they move, so check the current programmes page for live prices. But they give you a realistic bracket rather than a shrug.
What changes the price
Three things, mostly. Group size, because a session for eight costs more to run than one for one, though the per-head cost drops sharply. Depth, because a 90-minute introduction is a different beast from a half-day where everyone leaves with their own workflows rebuilt. And specialism, because a session tailored to the exact rules and tasks of, say, an estate agency or an accountancy practice carries more preparation than a generic overview.
The number that actually matters
Sticker price is only half the sum. The other half is what you get back. Take a half-day team session at the top of that range. If it helps five people save an hour a day, you are recovering the cost of the session within the first week or two of applying it, and everything after that is profit in time. That is why I gently push people away from asking "what is the cheapest" towards "what is the return".

Budgeting sensibly
If you are watching the pennies, start small and prove it. Put one person or a small group through an introductory session, measure the time they get back, and let that result make the case for training the rest. It is a low-risk way to spend, and it turns "I think this might help" into "here is what it saved us", which is a much easier conversation with whoever holds the purse strings.
AI training is not a luxury line item. Priced against the hours your team currently loses to work AI could shoulder, it is one of the cheaper productivity investments on the table. The trick is to measure the return, not just the receipt.
Frequently asked questions
How much is AI training per person?
Individual introductory sessions start around £199. In a group, the per-person cost falls sharply, since a session for up to eight people is typically £799 to £1,599 depending on depth.
Is there free AI training available?
Yes. There are free assessments and online courses worth using to test the water. They are less effective for building real team capability, because generic content dates fast and rarely gets finished. See free AI courses in the UK.
What makes AI training more expensive?
Larger groups, greater depth (a half day versus 90 minutes), and sector-specific tailoring all raise the price, because they require more time and preparation. Per-head cost usually drops as group size rises.
How do I justify the cost of AI training?
Work out the time it saves. If a session helps several people save an hour a day, the value returned outstrips the cost within a week or two. Start with a small group to prove it before training everyone.
Do you offer training tailored to my industry?
Yes. We run dedicated sessions for law firms, accountants, IFAs, estate agents, farmers, publicans, schools and small businesses, priced similarly to our standard deep dives. See our programmes.
